Rental Program
At Salish Sea Violins, we provide instrument rentals with the aim and goal to make it possible for every student to learn a musical instrument without the immediate need to buy one. Our rental program, is designed with growing musicians in mind, allowing instruments to be adjusted to fit a child's developing body and skill level. This flexibility ensures that students can always play comfortably and with the proper technique, fostering a more enjoyable and effective learning experience.
In addition to our rental options we offer a credit program that honors the loyalty of our clients and has families' finances in mind; by crediting one year's worth of rent toward the purchase price of their instrument. This applies to their current instrument or can be applied to another instrument of equal or greater value if a student would like to upgrade during their purchase.
We know how expensive extracurricular activities can be and to support students and families to further their musical aspirations we also offer installment payment options for purchased instruments to help manage the costs of musical education and equipment. We want to ensure that finances are not a reason to hinder someone's musical journey!
Trial Program
To help new players and families feel confident in choosing the best rental option, we offer a 7 day trial program. Take home your instrument, test it out, ask others and make an informed decision.
Credit Program
As a thank you to our clients we offer a rental credit program. The first 12 months of your paid rental price (excluding tax and any insurance) can be applied as a credit towards the purchase of your current instrument or a new instrument of equal or greater value if you wish to upgrade.
Optional Protection Plan
An optional insurance protection plan is available for $10.00 plus tax for three months. In the event of damage, there is a deductible of $70 for violins and violas and $175 for cellos. In the case of theft, fire, or loss, the customer is responsible for filing a police report or a fire report within 48 hours. Our Protection Plan is limited to up to half of the stated retail value of the instrument outfit. The remaining half is the responsibility of the renter. All repairs of rental instruments and bows must be done through Salish Sea Violins, LLC.
